A housing association has started legal proceedings to evict a 58-year-old man registered as disabled along with his partner who is expecting their child in November.

Ray Baker's son by a previous marriage, Philip, 28, who is incapacitated with depression, will also be homeless if Soha Housing forces the family out of their two-bedroom flat at Clements Green, South Moreton, near Didcot.

Soha has cited a list of "nuisances" which the housing association alleges against Mr Baker, including carrying out repairs to untaxed and and unroadworthy cars in the residents' car park.

The association said it had also repeatedly complained about the untidy and overgrown state of Mr Baker's garden.

Mr Baker's partner, Jacquline Sargeant, 43, said: "I'm so worried about the threat of eviction I'm wondering if I will lose the baby."

Soha said its housing officer and housing manager visited Clements Green last month and noted a Citroen belonging to Mr Baker in a very poor condition.

The association also said his garden was "filled with engine parts and debris".

Mr Baker said: "The housing association says it has a sheaf of complaints against me which it refuses to show me."

In a statement, Soha's marketing manager Lisa Morris said: "Mr Baker was issued with a Notice of Seeking Possession Order due to breaching several conditions of his tenancy agreement. He can see his personal file any time."
