Oxford City 2, Hillingdon Borough 1: A late goal from defender Kamran Abbasi gave Oxford City a dramatic victory in Tuesday's FA Cup first qualifying round at Court Place Farm.
City's win over a resolute Hillingdon side earns them an away tie against Wingate & Finchley in the second qualifying round on Saturday, September 27.
Following Saturday's 1-1 draw, City started in determined mood.
Jamie Charles made a positive run early on, but his cross failed to find a teammate.
Hillingdon went close when Adam Mamoud's effort brushed a defender and then scraped a post before going for a corner.
City were finding it difficult to breakdown a well-organised defence that gave nothing away.
However, a minute before half-time, they went ahead as a sweeping ball across field found Jermaine Ferreira, who passed inside to Leeyon Phelan, and he made no mistake from close range.
Seven minutes into the second period, Hillingdon equalised. A corner on the right from Steve Hand was lashed into the net by Danny Bennell, giving City keeper Steve Benbow no chance.
City tried desperately for a winner, but their opponents were providing stiff opposition.
Then with extra time looming, City breathed a sigh of relief when, from Colin Simpson's cross, Abbasi whipped the ball home for the winner.
