Oxford United boss Ian Atkins hailed his "outstanding" players after they took their unbeaten run into double figures by holding Cheltenham to a 0-0 draw in Tuesday's derby.
Although they lost top spot in Division 3 to Swansea, who beat Macclesfield 3-0, Oxford have come through a much more difficult set of early-season fixtures.
Bobby Gould's Cheltenham are themselves on a six-game unbeaten roll, and after another totally committed performance - following a delayed start because of a crash on the A40 - Atkins enthused: "It was a good 0-0 draw.
"We defended well, but it could have been all three points. It was an even contest, yet we had the better of the chances.
"Bash missed an open goal, Chris Hackett was through, and their keeper pulled off two magnificent saves in the space of 30 seconds.
"I thought my players were outstanding. They've again come away to another difficult place and haven't been beaten."
