Witney & District FA: Defending champions Brize Norton started their Premier Division title defence with a 1-1 draw against Freeland, who only ensured their survival on the final day of last season.
Mark Jewell put Brize ahead, only for Joe Crocker to level after the break.
Dan Kearney bagged a hat-trick as Carterton Town A saw off Adlestrop 4-1. Chris Mills cancelled out Kearney's opener before Kearney struck twice and Dan Steele wrapped up victory.
In Division 1, Ducklington last season relegated from the top flight beat newly-promoted Milton 3-1, thanks to a treble from Dan O'Sullivan. James Beaney was on target for Milton.
The outstanding individual achievement of the opening day came in Division 2, where Cameron striker Tabi Andrews scored all of five of Ducklington Res' goals in their 5-0 victory at AC Finstock.
The best team performance came in Division 4, where new boys Chipping Norton Swifts Res romped to a 13-0 victory over fellow newcomers AC Finstock Res.
Darren Bridge and Dan Scarsbrook both scored four-timers, with Warwick Tompkins, Liam Busby, Matt Smith, Dene Shadbolt and Andy Watson also on target for Swifts.
