Oxfordshire tennis star Tim Henman is determined not to allow his Australian Open defeat against Guillermo Canas to sway him from his new attacking policy.
After throwing away a two-set lead, and then a 4-1 advantage in the decider, the British No 1 went down 6-7, 5-7, 7-6, 7-5, 9-7.
Under new coach Paul Annacone, Henman has been developing a more positive attitude, and he said afterwards: "I think my attitude and my approach were very consistent throughout.
"It's pretty clear for everyone to see my tactics and the way I wanted to play. I think I was very consistent throughout the five sets.
"I don't think you can read a great deal into it. It would be pretty easy to over-analyse something like this.
"I played a good match and unfortunately he was the winner."
Henman's heart for the fight could not be doubted, but the end result was, yet again, not there.
In 25 Grand Slams outside of Wimbledon, he has won only 39 matches.
