Sutton are now certain to provide the Division 1 champions in the Didcot & District League for the seventh successive season.

Their A and B teams cannot be caught at the top, and the race for the prize is now a battle for club pride.

The A team look the likely winners, after Karl Bushell registered a maximum in their 5-5 draw with reigning champions Sutton B.

The woe continues for Division 2's bottom side Letcombe B, who lost 8-2 to Drayton B, John Gould and Steve Gardner registering maximums.

RAL D were relegated to Division 4, after they lost 10-0 by Sutton F's trio of Stuart Walker, Jim Tripp and Chris Noys.

Howbery's hopes of avoiding the drop were boosted when a John Talbot maximum inspired his side to an 8-2 victory over fellow strugglers Drayton D.

Moreton B stayed top of Division 4 after they beat third-placed Wallingford 6-4. Richard Smith recorded a clean sweep, winning the decisive doubles with James Goldsby-West.

Bottom team DPS F lost 9-1 to RAL E, for whom Andrea Fant and Kevin Woodhouse registered maximums, and 8-2 to Abingdon H.
