Banbury Utd 3, Oxford City 1: Banbury United will meet Oxford United in the Oxfordshire Senior Cup final after they beat Oxford City last night at Thame's Windmill Stadium.

An early free kick was driven over by Banbury's Chris Jackson before City's Neil Crosby drove wide.

There was little to choose between the two sides, but it was Banbury who took the lead after 36 minutes.

A cross by Ollie Stanbridge left the City defence in disarray, and Wayne Blossom scored from close range.

Banbury doubled their lead just after the hour when a quick break saw City defenders failing to retreat from an attacking position.

George Redknap had time to gain possession before placing his shot just inside the post after 65 minutes.

City pulled a goal back when Colin Simpson fed Neil Crosby, who struck home a 30-yard shot into the far corner.

As City pressed for an equaliser, it was Banbury who sewed the game up when Blossom latched onto a low bouncing clearance to drive past Benbow in the last minute.
