Di Sutton led a trio of Frilford Heath golfers into the semi-finals of Oxfordshire Ladies' Bronze Championship at Huntercombe.
Sutton, who plays off 21, collected the Bronze Medal after producing the best qualifying round of the 51 competitors, representing 11 clubs, in this event for golfers with handicaps from 21 to 36.
Shooting a gross 91, Sutton won by six shots from runner-up Ebba Wachtmeister (Hadden Hill), with another Frilford member, Vivien Stevenson, third.
The top eight players from the morning round went on to play the first round of the Bronze Championship.
Sutton beat Sheila Catterall (Oxford Ladies), and was joined in the last four by clubmates Stevenson and Barbara Hunt.
The quartet was made up by Oxford Ladies' Pat Williams, who won by one hole against Julie O'Sullivan, from Radley.
The four winners go on to play the semi-final and final for the Bronze Championship title at Frilford Heath on Saturday, April 17.

Katherine O'Connor made a promising debut for Oxfordshire 2nd in their opening match of the season against Hertfordshire 2nd at Mid Herts.
The 13 year-old, from Tadmarton Heath, partnered by Chipping Norton's Caroline Johnson, halved her morning foursomes match to prevent a home clean sweep.
Indeed, O'Connor nearly holed her chip at the 18th for a win.
The afternoon's singles were abandoned after nine holes, as the galeforce wind blew debris around the course.
Oxon 2nd's next match is against Hampshire at The Oxfordshire on Saturday.
Oxon 2nd team: J Luckett (Henley), C Johnson (Chipping Norton), J Binning (Frilford), N Ives (Witney Lakes), G Porter (Chipping Norton), K O'Connor (Tadmarton).
