I was upset to learn about the troubles Aron Whitehouse, of Ferry Road, New Marston, Oxford, is experiencing (Oxford Mail, March 13).
It is not fair that Aron's devoted parents should have to push him to the top of the road to meet his transport because inconsiderate commuters park on both sides of the road, stopping his lift from collecting him from home.
I have a suggestion for Oxford University.
A path from Marston through the University Parks is excellent for people working in north Oxford, but please consider residents.
It should do what has been done at Port Meadow and set aside land for a car park.
It would ease the parking problems.
If necessary, a nominal fee could be charged for all-day parking to pay for a car park attendant.
This would free the streets of many cars and would cause Aron no more hardship.
I have seen motorists park, get out their bicycles and ride off towards the path through the Parks.
Please do something to help Aron and his parents, and residents who have to endure this situation.
