William Andrews is a dangerous man and well deserves his three-year jail sentence.
A jury at Oxford Crown Court, which found him guilty of indecently assaulting an Oxford student in a Jericho alley, rightly rejected his pathetic defence - the evidence against him was overwhelming.
The only surprise was that he did not get longer behind bars for such a savage and cowardly attack.
With good behaviour, he will be free to walk the streets and commit further crimes in 18 months.
Meanwhile, we commend the brave young woman who defended herself so well by lashing out at Andrews with her house keys, giving him a taste of his own medicine.
Had she not done so, police are certain that she would have become a rape victim.
