Vandals have forced Wallingford Bridge Club to sever its 35-year link with the town.
For the last 19 years it has been in the buildings on the Bullcroft.
But dilapidation and vandalism has forced the 240-strong club to abandon them.
Now it has moved to Roke and Berrick Salome Village Hall where all its meetings and matches will take place. The club was supposed to move out of the Bullcroft buildings into a refurbished Regal Centre.
But the Bullcroft buildings have become untenable because of vandalism and the Regal Centre refurbishment is on hold.
Club chairman Peter Baxter says the club wants to come back to Wallingford if suitable premises can be found.
He said windows in the buildings had been broken and had to be boarded up.
If a door is left open to give air and light, members are subjected to abuse and foul language by youths congregating in the park.
