Former Marlow centre James Dollery makes his debut for Chinnor, who open their South West 1 campaign tomorrow with a trip to St Mary's Old Boys in Bristol.

Dollery comes in for Jon Brooks as one of several enforced changes following Chinnor's disappointing defeat by Coney Hill in the Powergen Cup last week.

James Hewitt comes onto the wing with New Zealander Sam McIvor moving to full back for Alan Cawston.

Into the squad come Matt Hutchins and Alex Thompson for forwards Ed Rixon and Joe Winpenny.

Oxford Harlequins, whose dramatic reprieve from relegation, means they have another season to establish themselves in Division 1, are without a game.

Their scheduled opponents Bridgwater are involved in the Powergen Cup.

The delay gives Quins another week to recover following their 69-0 thrashing by Worthing in the competition last week.

Who ever was responsible for drawing up the National 1 League programme did Henley Hawks no favours by arranging fixtures with two of the strongest clubs in the first fortnight.

Tomorrow, they face Pertemps Bees at Dry Leas and this is followed by an away game against Bedford next week.

Hawks will be strengthened by the return of Nick Martin, who is likely to start at No 8, but last season's top try-scorer Nnamdi Obi, is away attending his sister's wedding.

Newcomers to Dry Leas who will be making their first appearances in the squad include scrum half Harvey Biljon, on loan from London Wasps, and centre Mike Tamati the Samoan New Zealander who has played in Italy for the past five seasons.

There is also a debut for Andy Van Zyl (prop) the brother of Hawks' centre Ric.

The Henley Alliance side play their annual practice match against Oxford University on Sunday (3 pm).

This is the Dark Blues only match before they depart on their pre-season trip to Japan.

It will give the Dry Leas faithful an opportunity to see Ali James, who scored two tries against Bedford at the end of last season.

He is now taking a master's degree at Oxford and hopeful of being awarded a blue.

Other Hawks'players in the university side are Tom Hayman ( No 8) and Adam Harris (lock)
