Citroen has released first details of the new look C5, which features fresh new styling as well as technical, comfort and safety enhancements. The new look C5 is set to be revealed to the public this month at the Paris Motor Show.

Bristling with a wide array of equipment, the new look C5 features the company's sophisticated new lane departure warning system, that alerts drivers if they drift across lanes, as well as Xenon headlamps which turn as the car corners.

Laminated side glass reduces noise levels as well as improves security, whilst front and rear parking sensors provide audible as well as visual warnings on a multi-functional screen.

Safety is enhanced by the use of seven airbags, including one to protect the knee area, as well as a speed limiter and the latest generation electronic stability control.

Incorporating the company's new front end design, with its distinctive and striking double chevron grille, giving the model its bold new stance, the new look C5 features a 'boomerang' style for both front and rear lights. The interior of the new look C5 has also been updated.

A choice of six powerplants will be available, with petrol units from 117 horsepower to 210 horsepower and the latest HDi common rail diesels, developing between 110 horsepower and 138 horsepower. New six-speed manual and automatic gearboxes will also be available.
