Morrells of Oxford League: Justin Ford hammered a treble as second-placed Rose Hill kept up the pressure on Premier Division leaders Highfield with a 4-1 victory at Star Wanderers.

Ford opened the scoring for Hill with a first-time strike before they took total control with a devastating second-half show.

Ford completed his hat-trick with Cecil Rodney also netting in his first start of the season.

Lee Keyes did reduce the arrears for Wanderers, pouncing on a loose ball after his initial shot was parried away by the Rose Hill keeper, but by then it was too late.

Highfield maintained their 100 per cent record as they fought back in style to beat Six Bells Kidlington 6-2.

Wayne Blossom fired Highfield into an early lead, but Bells were soon level when Luke Holden put Ryan Curtin in the clear to fire home.

Minutes later, Curtin grabbed his second after again combining with Holden.

After the break, Highfield came out fired up with two early penalty kicks from Sam Donaldson re-establishing their lead.

Further goals from Blossom, his second strike of the contest, Paul Anderson and Simon King eased them to victory.

In Division 1, The Nelson won their battle with top-of-the-table rivals Riverside by a convincing 5-1 margin.

A John McMahon header gave Nelson the lead and a second superb diving header from Micah Roachford doubled their advantage.

Although Riverside pulled one back just before the break, that merely provoked a second-half onslaught.

A long-range strike from Anaclet Odhiambo and a brace from captain Liam O'Callaghan sealed a comfortable victory.

Northway made it three wins in a row by defeating AFC Vikings 3-1, but struggled to put away their chances against a resilient ten-man Vikings.

Northway started the brighter and despite missing several early chances were soon 1-0 up when Simon Bower headed home, his first for four years, from a Danny Goodchild corner.

Despite Northway piling on the pressure, a combination of wayward finishing and last-ditch defending and goalkeeping kept them at bay.

The second half, Vikings grew in confidence and their efforts were rewarded after Northway's keeper, Peter Bower went walkabout.

However, Northway were soon back in front when from another corner, Simon Bower grabbed his second, firing home as the ball bobbled about in the penalty area.

And they secured victory when Chris Baker fired home from the edge of the area.

In Division 3, Neil Tattersall was the hero, hitting a double for Real BST as they broke their duck in their 5-2 victory at Marston Friar.

The visitors took an early lead, only for Tattersall to equalise.

Friar led again minutes later, but two goals just before the break gave BST the upper hand, Tattersall scoring his second with a fine solo goal, and a wonder strike from Paul Holloway.

Two more goals in the second half from Ian Bloomfield and Steve Warden completed Real's tally.
