SIR -- It comes as no surprise to me that BP has announced that its profits amount to around £7,000 per minute.
If I were a motorist, I would be absolutely livid. I would boycott all BP stations, but it is not just petrol producers who are fuelling that old saying, 'Rip off Britain!'
Everywhere I look in shops, things are at least one third higher than abroad. Look at the price of wine in France and compare it with the price in your local off-licence.
Not only is the price obvious in retailing, but also in things like building, repairs to plumbing, gas, electrics, TV repairs and so on.
Does anybody out there have a story to tell?
