OXFORD City manager Andy Sinnott is relishing plotting the downfall of old club Brackley Town when the Southern League Division 1 West sides battle it out in tomorrow's FA Trophy first-round clash at Court Place Farm.

Sinnott, who was first-team coach at Brackley until he made the switch to City, said he was looking forward to renewing acquaintances with Phil Lines (Brackley's director of coaching) whom he used to regularly battle with when they were players.

Brackley's Neil Crosby and Andy Wallbridge used to play for City, while defender Andy Williams worked with Sinnott when he was boss at Thame.

Sinnott brought in Brackley's now player-manager Mike Ford as his assistant at Windmill Stadium.

"Phil's a good friend and when I was speaking to him this week, he had a little twinkle in his eye," he said.

"He thinks he can beat us and we think we can beat them.

"There's going to be a few personal battles out there. It's going to be a good cup tie."

City have gained only a point at home in the league, but Sinnott said: "With our home record they will be thinking they can beat us.

"But we have done well at home in cup competitions."

Chris Harper (bruised foot) is their only injury doubt. Goalkeeper Lee Farrow, 19, who has joined on loan from Conference side Stevenage, is added to the squad.

Thame United could be without striker Alex Stewart when they travel to Premier Division high-fliers Cirencester Town.

He suffered cracked teeth after being elbowed during Tuesday's bruising encounter at Evesham, and is rated doubtful.

John Mitchell returns after missing the game due to work commitments.

Boss Mark West said: "I don't think they'll be quite as good as Weymouth, but if we're not on our game we will get beaten by three goals."

Banbury United are sweating on the fitness of defender Jason Allen ahead of their home game with Division 1 West outfit Yate Town.

Allen broke down in the warm up before Saturday's 4-1 Premier Division defeat at Gloucester City with an ankle injury, but should be fit to join an otherwise full-strength squad.
