Jo Hewitson and Neil Munt are getting married at the same time as Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles An Oxfordshire couple are getting married at 12.30pm today (Saturday) at the Guildhall, just like Royal couple Charles and Camilla.

The similarity ends there though, as Neil Munt and Jo Hewitson will be getting married in front of family and friends in Abingdon's Guildhall, not among the crowds at Windsor.

Miss Hewitson is not concerned that the date for the Royal wedding has been moved, as she booked their day first.

She said: "Before, we were joking about how they wanted the 9th, but they knew we were getting married on that day, so they had to have the 8th instead."

The couple, who live in Abingdon, chose the date because it is Mr Munt's birthday. They had an unusual courtship, which began when the bride's friend, Martin Sharpe was dating Mr Munt's first wife, Mandy Havord. They set up a blind date between Mr Munt and Miss Hewitson, and a week later he asked if they could meet again.

Three months later, Miss Hewitson and daughter Nina, six, moved from Essex to live with Mr Munt and his 19-year-old daughter Phillipa.

With all their family commitments, the couple did not always have time to themselves. Miss Hewitson said: "It took us a year before we had a date on our own."

Having bought a ring, Mr Munt popped the question -- in his kitchen. Miss Hewitson said: "It wasn't the most romantic setting, but he did get down on one knee."

Like Prince William and Tom Parker Bowles, the couple's children will play an important part on Saturday.

Phillipa and Nina, along with Mr Munt's 10-year-old daughter Tayloro, will be bridesmaids, while the son of the groom, Anthony, 17, will be best man.

The couple have chosen Mr Sharpe and Miss Havord to be their witnesses.
