Henley Hawks face one of their toughest tests in recent weeks when they travel to Plymouth as their bid to escape relegation from National League 1 reaches a critical stage of the season tomorrow.

Hawks are now only one point behind relegation rivals London Welsh, following their thrilling victory over Orrell at Dry Leas, and will travel to Devon wanting to come away with at least a point to keep alive their hopes.

Plymouth boast one of the finest defensive records, having conceded only 47 points.

Their Brickfields home is something of a fortress, and they have lost only once there this season to title-chasing Bristol.

Hawks are forced into changes from last week's victorious squad.

Paul Laffin has not fully recovered from the injury that forced him off against Orrell, so the front row is a familiar one with skipper Sam Johnstone reverting to loosehead and Jim Hamilton-Smith coming in as hooker and Adam Hopcroft at tighthead.

Adam Harris is unavailable, so James Winterbottom will wear No 4.

Adam Holloway is expected to have recovered from his ankle injury.

Chinnor make the trip to Braywick Park to take on Maidenhead in South West 1.

With two league games remaining, Chinnor still have one eye on a top-four finish, and will do their hopes no harm at all with victory at Maidenhead, who are three points in front of the them.

Coach John Brodley makes changes to his squad, with Charlie Oyabade and Craig Burroughs making way for Chad Ward and Jack Martin.

Simon Pearson and Ali Reechie come into the squad among the replacements.

Oxford Harlequins make their longest trip of the season as they travel to take on Penryn.

The squad will leave this evening, staying overnight in Cornwall.

Hooker Simon Chadbone is ruled out through injury, so Paul Molyneux deputises.

Lock Louis Eggar and backrow Mark Dixon are also in the reckoning, but fly half Henry Pooler is out with an ankle injury.

In Southern Counties North, Witney will be eyeing revenge against Beaconsfield at Hailey Road.

The Buckinghamshire outfit inflicted Witney's heaviest defeat of the season in December as they ran out 33-8 winners.

Witney will have to make do without Jez Hicks and Carl Strutt, who are in Italy, but Dave Edwards slots back into midfield and Tim Muller returns on the back row.
