Labour is determined to build in the South East and change the face of Oxford by building in the Green Belt (Oxford Mail, April 1).
The Government has set up the unelected South East England Regional Assembly (Seera) in Guildford.
This will soon take over all the major structure planning decisions in Oxford East, in place of the elected Oxfordshire County Council.
Labour also encourages infilling and out-of-scale developments and flats with no parking spaces, cramming people in.
This is destroying communities, damaging the street scene and overloading our services.
Only the Conservatives are to abolish Seera and encourage expansion in the North of England, to build up communities there, not destroy community life and the living environment in the already over-populated South East. Virginia Morris, Prospective Parliamentary Candidate, Oxford East Conservatives, Temple Road, Oxford
