Two crashes involving lorries caused rush-hour tailbacks on Oxfordshire's roads for the second day in succession.
As reported in the late edition of yesterday's (Thursday) Oxford Mail, both crashes took place yesterday morning (Thursday) on the M40, reducing traffic to a crawl.
An articulated lorry and a Ford Transit van collided on the southbound carriageway near junction 9, at Wendlebury, at about 4.30am.
The van driver was taken to Oxford's John Radcliffe Hospital suffering from minor injuries. Lane closures caused tailbacks until the road was cleared at 7.30am.
The other accident occurred 10 miles south, between Lewknor and Milton Common, and involved a lorry and a car. No-one was injured.
