Adam Krol will be back at the crease for Thame Town tomorrow just a week after being hospitalised by a vicious bouncer.
The committed batsman was left bloodied and bruised by a rising ball that came through his helmet and hit him above the left eye.
But he has declared himself fit for the leaders' CCS Home Counties Premier League trip to North Maidenhead, and skipper Rob Brooks was not going to argue.
Brooks said: "He has had quite a few stitches, but he has said he is fit.
"He is a seriously hard cricketer and has got a never say die attitude."
He added: "The rest of the side are all in tip-top condition."
Thame are unchanged from the team that beat Burnham by seven wickets and are on a great run, but Brooks believes they are now there to be "shot at".
Alex Jewell takes over the gloves from Ian Hawtin as Bicester & North Oxford travel to Aston Rowant.
Hawtin is on holiday in Menorca and Bicester skipper Ian Bryan has no doubt the teenager will be a good stand-in.
Richard Lynch is also absent on Oxfordshire duty in the MCCA Trophy, so Ben Chapman and James Holton come in.
Bryan said: "We will miss both of them. Ian's been keeping wicket well, but Alex did a good job behind the stumps when he did it before.
"And, of course, Richard took three wickets in the draw against Beaconsfield."
Second team captain and wicket-keeper Andrew Levick will make his Home Counties debut for Aston Rowant.
Levick could also bat in the top six, while Harry Sheppard also comes in.
Rowant have been on tour in Torquay this week, and captain Chris Eaton hopes their form on the south coast will rub off in the league.
He said: "We need a win really, we've only won once.
"We started off the season bowling poorly and batting well and now we've gone the other way round."
