Oxford City boss Andy Lyne has snapped up prolific striker Lee Keyes from GLS Hellenic League side Witney United.
It will be the third time that Lyne has worked with Keyes, 25, who scored 44 goals in all competitions last season, including 22 in 37 league games.
Lyne gave him his debut as a teenager at Witney Town in 1998 and in 2002 they combined at Wessex League AFC Newbury.
"It's a massive boost. Keysey is a goal machine. He has scored year on year since he was a teenager," said Lyne.
"When he was at Witney I stuck him into many big games against the likes of Yeovil and Weymouth, it didn't faze him.
"In fact, he scored against most of the teams he faced."
Lee is a very important first signing for us and it gives the football club a massive boost as we start to rebuild in readiness for a challenge on the Minerva Spartan South Midlands League title.
"We now have to ensure that we get the right sort of players around him to give him the ammunition he needs."
