Sir – With reference to the excellent letter (February 18) by John Whitworth, I have to say that the county’s waste policy reminds me of a mad car driver.
He is travelling far too fast on a tricky road. He has been repeatedly warned. He has a history of convictions. Everyone knows he is out of control at the wheel. He will crash. The only question is when.
When will our county council recognise the folly of their waste policy and junk the idea of an incinerator?
