FANS of all ages said it was Peter Andre’s personality which drew them to queue to see their idol in Oxford.

They were amongst a sell-out crowd for the singer’s appearance last night at the O2 Academy in Cowley Road.

Scores of expectant fans arrived early to catch a glimpse of the singer, inset, who was ushered around the back of the venue at 4pm in a blacked out people carrier. Schoolgirl Naomi Painting, 10, from Abingdon, pictured front, wore face paint which read: “I love Peter Andre”. She said: “I’m really excited.”

Her mother Angela, left, said: “He’s fit, he’s handsome, he’s a great dad and a good singer.”

Jean Thomas, 65, and her daughter Kim Webb, 41, from Eynsham, bought a pair of pink French knickers to throw at the singer.

Mrs Thomas said:m “He is very humble. He has got a good way about him and he is never big-headed.”
