A gang of boys suspected of beating up a father-of-two in an unprovoked attack have had their bail extended, pending further inquiries by police.

A 38-year-old man suffered a cut lip and black eye when he was attacked on the cycle path between Cow Lane and Tamar Way, Didcot, on December 11 last year.

Four 15-year-old boys and three aged 16 were arrested on suspicion of assault. They were bailed until February 28 after being questioned by police yesterday.
