TRIBUTES have poured in for a well-known face in local football.
Linda Hackett, a familiar face at Oxford United’s Kassam Stadium, passed away aged 54 on Friday morning, having battled cancer on and off for 15 years.
Mrs Hackett, mother of former Oxford United star Chris, served tea in the press area and was an office manager at St Michael’s Primary School in Marston Road.
Oxford United photographer Darrell Fisher, who snapped Mrs Hacket with her favourite player Peter Bonetti, said: “She was just one in a million with a heart of gold.”
St Michael’s headteacher Sue Grundy said: “She has been a great colleague and friend and will be missed by all who knew her.”
