Rain put a number of Oxfordshire rivers back on flood watch today.

The alert, the lowest issued by the Environment Agency, is in place on rivers across the county including:

  • River Thames from Buscot, through Oxford, Abingdon and Wallingford to Pangbourne
  • River Ock
  • Letcombe Brook
  • River Cherwell
  • River Ray
  • River Windrush
  • River Evenlode
  • River Glyme
  • River Thame and Chalgrove Brook.

Flood Watch alerts mean that flooding of low-lying land and roads near the rivers can be expected and that people living nearby should be prepared in case the level of alert is increased.
