NEW Freedom of Information figures have revealed Thames Valley Police has spent £6,692,455 on hiring vehicles since 2004.
The force spent more than every other force which responded to the Liberal Democrats’ request for the figures, except for London’s Metropolitan Police and West Midlands Police.
A force spokesman said: “Thames Valley Police makes use of hire vehicles to supplement its fleet and to offer us the flexibility we require to conduct our business.”
