TWO fire engines were called to the M40 this morning after a car’s engine caught fire.
Fire crews from Bicester received the call just after 8am.
The car was alight on the hard shoulder of the southbound carriageway, between Junction 9 Wendlebury and Junction 8a Oxford services.
The fire is being treated as accidental. All lanes of the M40 remained open.
