Sir – Following the letter which you printed on November 20, I have now carefully adjusted my own aerial connections so that I can receive all the digital channels, as I could in the past.
But the fact remains that many ITV channels, to be exact all those that come to us via UHF 68, are arriving with a much weaker signal than the BBC and other channels. Now that I have improved the connections and can watch the ITV channels, the strength is still under five (before it was under three, down to zero). The strength of the BBC and other channels is approaching ten, the top of the scale.
So something does appear to be less than ideal at the transmitter. I am surprised that the appropriate authority has not commented on this.
