I HAVE been watching junior and senior football for many years, as one of my grandsons is a keen footballer.
On December 5, I watched Marston Saints v Watlington, and I consider it the best game I have ever seen.
There was virtually no swearing, no arguments from the touchline, and the referee was in complete control of players and linesmen with very few whistles, which enabled the game to flow along.
My congratulations to the players and, in particular, to the young female referee. More lady referees please!
