ONE thing remains constant at Oxford School these days – uncertainty.
Today the Oxford Mail reveals that the school’s entire board of governors has been swept aside to be replaced by an interim executive board (IEB).
It’s not that long ago since eight of the governors resigned because they did not consider their governing body “effective”.
Those governors were only replaced in October and November, but already the new recruits have been replaced.
And let’s not forget the plans to replace the entire school with an academy.
How would you feel if you were a parent of a child at the school?
Would you be suspicious of these IEBs, which to some might sound new and untested?
Or would you have faith with the cross section of the community on the IEB, which looks well thought out?
All parents will surely want to hear more about the scheme.
It’s up to the county council, and the IEB, to ensure they are kept well informed.
