A man who admitted shining a laser pen at the police helicopter as it flew over Cowley Road has avoided jail.
Jamir Ali, 20, of Leon Close, Oxford, was arrested after the laser was shone at the helicopter.
The court was told how the light temporarily blinding the crew.
Ali admitted endangering the safety of the aircraft and was given 200 hours unpaid work.
