Oxford Airport makes Italian connection
12:41pm Thursday 10th December 2009 in News By Chris Walker
HOLIDAYMAKERS will be able to jet off to Rome from Oxford Airport from after a deal was signed with the Swiss airline Baboo, which will operate the flights via Geneva.
Flights will cost as little as £101 each way. The service begins on Saturday, December 19.
Passengers able to board Baboo flights from the airport in Kidlington to Geneva and then transfer to an Alitalia service to the Italian capital city, with a one-and-a-half hour stop-over in Switzerland.
Oxford Airport marketing manager James Dillon Godfray said: “We hope this will be of interest to the Oxford-based Italian community, Italian students and academics, language schools and those doing business between these two great cities.”
The service comes just two months after the airport’s first ever scheduled international services, to Geneva, were announced.
