WITH regard to the recent postal dispute, we appear to have forgotten that when the current Post Office senior management took office, they arrived with a reputed skill for closing companies.

If I had been in their situation, and wanted to ensure the Post Office could be closed without blame being attached to me, I would have ensured that I had senior union personnel in my pocket.

Then I would instruct my union partners to instigate strikes and, when the Post Office was beyond saving, close operations, blaming the militant workforce, with the majority of public backing.

However, the current bunch’s methods are mucking it up a bit. Gordon won't be amused!
