Police are appealing for witnesses after a robbery in Walton Street yesterday.

At around 10.30pm, a female employee of the Moves Video Store was about to leave the premises, when a man pushed open the door and threatened her with a broken bottle.

The man was white and in his forties.

Det Sgt Steve Raffield said: “The man threatened the woman with the broken bottle and then walked over to the till and stole around £150 in cash. He ran out of the store into Little Clarendon Street.

“I appeal to anyone who was in this area of Jericho last night and saw a man acting suspiciously to contact police immediately.”

Anyone with information that could assist police enquiries is urged to contact Det Sgt Raffield via Thames Valley Police Enquiry Centre on 0845 8 505 505. If you don’t want to speak to police and don’t want to leave your name contact the Crimestopper charity on 0800 555 111.
