Police are appealing for witnesses after a cyclist was knocked off his cycle and robbed in Headington.

At about 10.15pm on Sunday, a man was cycling along Headington Road when two youths, one also riding a bicycle and one walking, approached him.

They pulled the man off his bicycle before stealing it and cycling away.

One of the boys was white, aged about 17, about 5ft 8in tall, stocky, with short brown hair and was wearing a striped top.

The other boy is white, aged about 17, a similar height to the other boy and had an Irish accent.

Det Sgt Matt Jarman said: “The robbers dropped the bike slightly further along the road and carried on in the direction of London Road.

“There were a few people around at that time of night and I urge anyone with any information that could help police with their investigation to get in touch.”
