A teenager was robbed as he walked home in the early hours in Headington.

At about 3.30am on Saturday, a 19-year-old man was walking along the path from Girdlestone Road to The Slade when two men came up to him and demanded he hand over his belongings.

The man gave them his mobile phone and £3 in cash and the men ran away.

Both men were black, in their early twenties, about 6ft tall and average build. They were both wearing dark clothing.

Det Con Steve Martin said: “There were a few people around at the time and I urge anyone with any information that could help the police with their investigation to get in touch.”

Anyone with any information about the incident to contact Det Con Martin at Oxford police station via 0845 8 505 505, or if you don’t want to talk to the police or give your name, call the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
