Sir – I am in total agreement with other letter writers to your newspaper regarding the appalling building designs and plans for our historic city.
The majority are no more than a pile of bricks which can be found in many business parks around the country and some would even be at home on an industrial estate.
When are the people who are responsible for allowing these horrendous buildings to be built going to stand up and say no!
I’m not talking about buildings being in character necessarily, but buildings that project what Oxford stands for; innovation, ideas, forward thinking, basically pushing the boundaries. Oxford deserves better.
