PEOPLE say you can’t trust anyone these days but in fact when I was in The Four Candles this week I saw evidence that this isn’t actually the case.
A bloke left his wallet on the table while he wandered to the doorway to talk on his mobile.
It would have been easy for someone to have pinched it because he left it in full view for a couple of minutes.
I wouldn’t have done that myself but it cheered me up to think that good pubs like Wetherspoons are quite friendly, trustworthy places.
