A number of your correspondents have made reference to Queen Street being a pedestrian zone.
In fact, as the signs at either end of the street make abundantly clear, this is only the case between the hours of 10am and 6pm. Before 10am and after 6pm cyclists have as much right to use the street as pedestrians.
With regard to the incident described by M Southan (letters, November 11), it would be relevant to know what time of day it occurred before apportioning blame.
