TWO Oxfordshire rivers were on alert after heavy rainfall but the county has escaped any serious flooding.
The Environment Agency last night said the River Evenlode, near Cassington, and River Glyme, at Wootton and Woodstock, had burst their banks in some places but no roads or homes were affected.
Both are on Flood Watch, the least serious river warning.
A Met Office spokesman said Oxfordshire had largely missed the heaviest rainfall and there were no severe wet weather warnings.
