Gemma Boswell, 25, of Salford Road, Marston, Oxford, admitted shoplifting throat sweets valued at 99p from Boots in Oxford on October 22. Fined £60 and ordered to pay a £15 victims’ surcharge.

Harry Lawrence, 20, of Watlington Road, Shirburn, convicted of drink-driving in Brook Street, Watlington, on November 8. He had 110mg of alcohol in 100ml of breath, exceeding the limit of 35mg.

Ordered to do 200 hours’ unpaid work, pay costs of £775 and banned from driving for two years, reducible by six months on completion of a course.

Elizabeth Jakeman, 51, of Herschel Crescent, Oxford, admitted possession of Class B drug amphetamine. Fined £110, told to pay costs of £45 and a victims’ surcharge of £15. Drugs destroyed.

David Collier, 19, of Nuthatch Close, Oxford, admitted making off without paying for petrol in Oxford on August 24; driving while disqualified and without insurance in Thame Road, Stadhampton, on August 24; failing to surrender to bail at Oxford Magistrates’ Court on October 29; taking a vehicle without consent in Oxford on September 24; attempting to steal a Ford Escort on September 29 in Horspath; failing to surrender to bail at Oxford Magistrates’ Court on November 3; and taking a motor vehicle without consent in Oxford between September 29 and October 4.

Eleven other offences taken into consideration. Sent to young offenders’ institution for a total of 22 weeks.

Hayley Cox, 27, of Underhill Circus, Barton, Oxford, admitted shoplifting fragrances valued at £83.97 from TK Maxx in Oxford on November 4. Given an 11-week prison sentence, suspended for a year.

Theresa Williams, 42, of Trinity Square, Chipping Norton, admitted common assault on Paul Nicholls in Chinnor on August 18; assaulting Pc Andrea Smith during the execution of her duty on August 19 and causing £88 worth of criminal damage to a marked police car on the same day in Abingdon. Given a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £75 compensation.

DIDCOT

Kevin Murphy, 44, of Synderford Close, Didcot, admitted two counts of possessing cannabis, a Class B drug, in Didcot on October 21. Fined £135, a victims’ surcharge of £15 and costs of £85. Drugs destroyed.

Graham Sharp, 48, of Calder Way, Didcot, admitted failing to comply with a community order to undertake unpaid work on September 29. Eighty-day suspended prison sentence implemented but reduced to 36 days in jail.

Peter Adam, 27, of Nuffield Close, Didcot, admitted driving without a licence and taking a vehicle without consent in Didcot on October 21. Fined £100, costs of £85 and a £15 victims’ surcharge. Given six penalty points.

Nicholas Gunning, 22, of Blue Mountains, Wallingford, admitted possessing cannabis, a Class B, drug in Wallingford on October 19. Given a conditional discharge for two years. Drugs destroyed.

Lee Marshall, 21, of Kynaston Road, Didcot, admitted assaulting Pc Lucy Chhetri and Pc Emma Hamilton in the execution of their duties in Didcot on October 17. Ordered to do 80 hours’ unpaid work and pay £85 costs.

Shane Ray, 28, of Kynaston Road, Didcot, admitted obstructing Pc Lucy Chhetri in the execution of her duty in Didcot on October 17. Given a conditional discharge and ordered to pay £85 costs.
