MUSIC lovers enjoyed a special jazz concert at the BMW Mini plant, in Oxford, to celebrate 50 years of two iconic brands.
The Mini and London music venue Ronnie Scott’s both reached their half-century this year, and musicians from the club, including singer Iain Mackenzie, staged a concert in the Cowley factory’s T-Building last night.
Musicians from Ronnie Scott’s Big Band were joined by players from Oxford Philomusica and singer Liane Carroll and the London Voices.
A BMW Mini spokesman said: “It was a brilliant concert — there were lots of people dancing in the T-Building.”
Money raised from the ticket sales will go towards the Thames Valley and Chiltern Air Ambulance, which is based at RAF Benson.
