SCREAMS rang out when three rugby players went through the pain barrier to get waxed for Children In Need.
Between them, the Bicester Rugby Club trio – Dan Spencer and brothers Andrew and William Morris – have so far raised £445.88.
Dan and Andrew had their chests waxed, while William opted for his back.
Beauticians Amy Chown and Julie Tingey, both from Bicester, did the waxing and were helped by onlookers who paid to have a go.
Dozens of people turned up to watch the men at the Oxford Road clubhouse yesterday.
Afterwards William, 26, said: “I was all right – I think the two getting their chests done had it a lot worse.
“But I do reckon Dan has got a lower pain threshold.”
He said other rugby players were training that night, but no-one else was brave enough to take up the challenge.
The trio hope to reach their target of £500 over the next few days.
