A woman driver is being treated for arm and chest injuries after a head-on collision near Wallingford this morning.

Emergency services were called to the accident on the A4074 near the Berinsfield roundabout, shortly before 7.40am.

The road is closed in both directions between the Shillingford roundabout and the Dorchester turn, and traffic is tailing back in both directions.

Thames Valley Police spokesman David Staines said: “There was a head-on collision between a Ford Transit van and a Peugeot 205.

“The female driver of the 205 suffered arm and chest injuries but her injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

“Fire crews are extracting her from the vehicle and another woman driver in a Ford Ka has also been injured.”
