Police are trying to reassure villagers in Chalgrove after a raid on a couple in the village this week.

The neighbourhood policing team for Chalgrove will be available to speak to and answer any questions in a police surgery tonight from 7.30pm until 9pm at the John Hampden Hall in High Street.

Sgt Chris Hazell said: “We are holding this surgery following the burglary that happened earlier on in the week.

“It is an opportunity for residents to come and speak to us about any concerns that they might have.

“I would also like to offer reassurance that this type of incident is rare and we are doing all we can to catch whoever is responsible.”
