JOBSEEKERS across Oxfordshire will have the chance to meet prospective employers at the Oxford Mail Job Fair on Thursday.

Computer businesses, recruitment agencies and the armed forces will be among the 25 exhibitors at the Town Hall, in St Aldate’s, from 10am to 4pm.

Organisers of the free event, sponsored by Abingdon technology company RM, urged people to head along and discover what jobs are on offer.

More than 2,500 people turned up to February’s job fair, and organisers say there could be similar numbers this week.

For anybody who cannot make it on the day, a ‘virtual job fair’ online has been created. You can find out information on all businesses and organisations at oxfordjobfair.co.uk.

Event coordinator Belinda Rand, from Newsquest Oxford, said there would be something for everyone on offer.

She said: “The job fair has been running for many years now and keeps on getting bigger and bigger. There will be a huge variety of jobs on offer. It is a really good opportunity for people to have a chat with employers and find out what jobs could be available to them.

“We would like to see as many people as possible head along.”
