Police are appealing for witnesses after a burglary in Shrivenham today.
At about 2am, a silver Volvo was used to force open the doors of the Subway sandwich shop in Majors Road. Four people, with their faces covered, entered and attempted to access the safe but were unsuccessful.
Det Con Peter Semczyszyn said: “The Volvo was recovered burnt out nearby in Fernham, near Faringdon.
“I appeal to anyone who has seen a suspicious silver Volvo car in the area over the weekend to contact police immediately.”
