A solid home performance from St Ed's who took control right from the start with an early goal from April Bedford, side-stepping a defender and slotting the ball in. St Ed's had the better of the play and got further reward when Thomas Butcher fired in a rocket from outside the box. There were other chances but no more goals before the break thanks to Kennington's dogged defending.
Kennington fought back in the second half and St Ed's keeper had to be on his guard a few times. Play switched from end to end. St Ed's increased their lead, Joe Cavill netting after a scrap in the penalty box and James Barnett slotting home a fourth.
